This course introduces you to dementia and will help you develop an awareness
of dementia, what it is and how it can affect different people. You will learn
about the most common causes of dementia and the factors relating to an
individual's experience of dementia, and how a person-centred approach to care
can enable individuals with dementia to experience well-being. Finally, you will
explore common medications used within the field of dementia care and how
medication can be used appropriately and effectively using a person-centred
approach to care.
