Physics is the study of the properties and interactions of matter and energy. Our understanding of many features of the everyday world relies on knowledge drawn from the ideas and methods of Physics.
On this course you will study how things work, from subatomic particles to galaxies going through light, electrical and magnetic fields, electric circuits, thermodynamics, and properties of materials. You will study these phenomena in class through theory, experiments and computer simulations.
You will study a range of topics including:
Throughout the course your level of attainment will be gauged by regular tests and homework assignments.
All A-Level exams will take place at the end of the second year of the course. There are three written exams each lasting 2 hours. Overall, at least 40% of the marks in assessments for Physics will require the use of mathematical skills.
5 GCSEs at Grade 9-4, including English Language and Grade 6 in Maths.
PLUS
