This unit is designed for those people who have completed the Level 1 course or have previous experience within automotive. They will specialise in body and paint techniques, looking at how to repair using different methods and how to paint using spray guns and learning about how the spray booth works. This will develop their knowledge from what they will have learnt in Level 1.

A mixture of workshop and theory sessions as well as working towards achieving Maths and English if they haven’t achieved a Grade 4 in the subjects.

Units include:

• Health and Safety
• Fabrication
• Body Repair
• MET

You will be assessed through practical tasks in the workshops and completion of portfolio work and end of unit exams.

GCSEs at Grade 9-3 in English and Maths.

AND

A Level 1 Certificate qualification.

On successful completion and with the required English and Maths grades you can progress through the levels.
