This course provides a strong introduction to the motorcycle sector within
the wider automotive industry. You'll focus on core areas of motorcycle
maintenance and repair, covering topics such as:
- Motorcycle construction and routine maintenance
- Engine components and how they operate
- Transmission systems
- Electrical and electronic systems
- Fuel, ignition, air intake, and exhaust systems
- An introduction to low carbon technologies
Learning takes place through a combination of hands-on workshop sessions and
classroom-based theory. You’ll train using high-quality bikes and tools in our
well-equipped, industry-standard facilities.
If you haven't yet achieved a Grade 4 in GCSE English or Maths, you’ll
continue studying these alongside the course to support your overall
progression.
By the end of the course, you’ll have developed key technical knowledge,
practical ability, and the academic foundation needed for further training or
entry-level employment in the motor vehicle industry.
