Re-engagement programme for students who find it difficult to engage in a full-time vocational course whether at College or another provider. The course will help you develop your confidence, study skills and awareness of College expectations which will help you successfully access a vocational course of your choice the following year.
What you will Study
Ascentis Certificate in Progression at either Entry Level 3, Level 1 or Level 2
How you will Learn
Through a variety of practical activities and classroom-based and remote sessions.
The Study Programme will deliver practical sessions in the classroom which
will develop a student's self esteem, study skills to support them back into a
college curriculum area and employability skills to support their development
towards the world of work.
Students who have not secured a Grade 4 or above in maths and English will
continue to study those subjects to support future
How you will be Assessed
Portfolio based assignments and practical work.
Prior qualifications will be assessed and used to determine the most appropriate level of study.
As a full-time student you will be expected to attend all classes as specified on your timetable and all personal tutorial sessions.

It may be available as a standalone fee paying course that is not part of a
full-time Study Programme subject to sufficient interest.

Tuition and certification are free if you are aged 16-18. Related additional
costs may include materials, equipment, visits, and residentials, which are
payable by all students.
Any student registered with an Awarding Body who has been given free entry
and subsequently withdraws or is withdrawn by a tutor will incur the
certification fee associated with the course. Any re-sit examination will incur
