Course Overview

Every garage offering MOT testing must have an MOT manager (AEDM) before they are able to run a MOT station or a number of MOT testing stations.

This course is aimed at garage owners and managers, who have responsibilities for overseeing the garage MOT testing. This course is designed to give the prospective MOT site manager the best possible experience, ensuring the newly qualified manger is prepared to meet the challenges of day-to-day MOT site experiences.  

What you will Study

The course will cover all aspects of the manager’s role:

• DVSA compliance & documentation
• Professionalism & good customer experience
• Complaint resolution and avoidance strategies
• Maintaining MOT testing equipment
• Meeting and maintaining CPD requirements
• Carrying out quality assurance checks and inspections
• Site risk assessment & scoring        

How you will Learn You will learn through classroom-based study, using real life experiences, work booklets and the Colleges online learning resource portal Moodle.

How you will be Assessed There is no practical test, but an online exam at the end of the course.

Fee Information

These fees relate to 2022/23

Tuition Fee: £500.00

Related additional costs may include materials, equipment, visits, residentials etc which are payable by all students.

Any student entered/registered with an Awarding Body who has been given free entry and then withdraws or is withdrawn by a tutor will incur the certification fee associated with the course. Any re-sit examination will incur a cost.

Different fees apply to international/overseas students and those studying this qualification as a standalone course.
