Programme Design and Overview This qualification has been developed in partnership with the Rugby Football Club (RFU). It is designed for aspiring strength and conditioning coaches supported in the development of their knowledge of how to effectively support the delivery of coaching in a local community sports club.
What you will Study

Learners will study:

The fundamentals of coaching sport.
The principles of planning coaching activities in sport.
The principles of conducting coaching activities in sport.
The principles of evaluating coaching activities in sport.
Plan coaching activities in strength and conditioning for sport.
Conduct coaching activities in strength and conditioning for sport.
Evaluate coaching activities in strength and conditioning for sport.

How you will Learn The course will cover the practical aspect of planning and delivering strength and conditioning for sport activity sessions
How you will be Assessed Through the use of multiple choice and open-ended questions, practical examination, worksheets and portfolio completion. Learners will be assessed coaching a minimum of two strength and conditioning for sport activity sessions.
Entry Requirements There are no formal entry requirements.
Attendance Expectations One weekend.
Fee Information These fees relate to 2022/23 Fees: £160.00
Further Study Learners who achieve this qualification could progress onto: 1st4sport Level 2 Certificate in Coaching Strength and Conditioning for Sport
Career Opportunities To gain employment as an assistant strength and conditioning coach.
