Course Overview This qualification is designed to develop the management skills and knowledge of team leaders and first line managers whatever your industry or organisational type.
What you will Study

The CMI Level 3 Diploma in Principles of Management & Leadership encompasses these modules:

• Managing Daily Tasks to Achieve results
• Building Stakeholder Relationships Using Effective Communication
• Managing Resources and Budgets
• Managing Data and Information
• Managing Own Personal and Professional Development
• Principles of Management and Leadership

How you will Learn The programme is structured on a modular basis and each module is delivered using a range of techniques including lectures, group work, case studies and technology.
How you will be Assessed For each of the modules you will need to complete a written assessment based on relevant workplace scenarios.
Entry Requirements

English and Maths at Level 2 (Level 2 FS or GCSE Grade C or above / 4 or above).

Where the applicant does not meet the course entry requirements - Level 2 or GCSE qualification at grade C/4 or above in maths and/or English, entry will be considered on successful completion of the Introduction to Business Course Level 1.

Attendance Expectations Virtual sessions will be delivered on two Tuesdays per month via MS Teams. Students can start the course at regular points throughout the year.

If you are aged between 19 to 23 and you have not already achieved a full level 3 (or above) qualification, there may be funding available to cover the cost of your training.

Funding may also be available to employers wishing to upskill their workforce through this qualification. Contact Business Development for more information on businessdevelopment@wakefield.ac.uk or 01924 789719.

If you are aged over 19 and have achieved a full level 3 qualification, or are aged over 24 you may be eligible for an Advanced Learner Loan from the government to cover your tuition fees.
