Programme Design and Overview DIY courses are designed for homeowners and property developers interested in developing the practical skills to complete tasks within residential premises they own. The courses are offered with flexible start dates throughout the year.
What you will Study

The content of each course is varied:

DIY Skills in Carpentry

Awareness of Health and Safety associated with carpentry work.
Introduction to tools and use
Jointing timber
Skirting and architrave
Hanging a door
Fixing locks

How you will Learn You will develop your skills through practical activity in our purpose-built workshop areas.
How you will be Assessed Assessment will be continuous throughout the course.
Entry Requirements No entry requirements for this programme.
Attendance Expectations

The next start date will be at Castleford College on Saturday 13th January 09.00 to 13.00

This is a free course.

The College is only able to provide government funding or free courses to students who live within West Yorkshire.
