This T level study programme for Construction is the introduction of career
ready education for the Construction curriculum.
This T level will combine classroom theory, practical learning and a minimum
315 hours of industry placement with an employer to make sure a real experience
of the workplace is achieved.
The T Level qualification, equivalent to 3 A Levels, has been designed by a
panel of employers from the Construction and Civil Engineering sector and the
industry professional bodies including, Chartered Institution of Building
Services Engineers, Chartered Institution of Civil Engineers, Royal Institution
of Chartered Surveyors and education specialists.
The purpose of the Level 3 Technical qualification is to ensure that students
have the knowledge and skills to progress into skilled employment technical or
professional roles within the sector or to higher-level training.
With this in mind, the T level encompasses
• The technical knowledge and practical skills required for the professional
and technical roles
• Maths, English and Digital skills required for the
professional and technical roles
• An industry placement of at least 45
days.
80% of your time will be spent in the classroom and 20% on a 45-day placement
with an employer to give you the skills and knowledge companies look
for.
