Course Overview
This highly supported course is for learners who want to further develop their independence into adulthood. You will gain confidence, personal and social skills, in addition to gaining skills and experience that could help you to progress towards further study or supported employment.

On assessment of work readiness, there may be opportunities for work
experience that would develop skills towards sustainable employment.
How you will Learn
You will be involved in active learning through a series of projects. The projects will allow you to action plan and produce evidence for your portfolio. Typical projects include working with external partners, employment tasters, employability, equality and diversity and safeguarding. There are also many practical activities to prepare for working life and independent living.
How you will be Assessed
By portfolio building, practical activities and production of work.

Attendance Expectations
There is an expectation that your attendance on the course will be 95% (September to June). You will be in College for three to four days per week, depending on timetabling requirements.

Further Study
There may be the possibility to progress on to our FLEX VOTE programme which is designed to give you an opportunity of studying at higher levels for personal and social skills, employability skills, maths, English and ICT and will also give you vocational options and tasters. Alternatively, for learners who aspire towards employment outcomes, there may be opportunities to progress onto a Supported Internship such as GET SET or a Project Search programme.
