This Health and Social Care study programmes provide the knowledge needed
when working in a health and social care environments, caring for young people,
adults, and the elderly.
The programme covers a wide range of areas including; supporting individuals
with their physical and emotional care, daily living needs and health care
procedures.
Level 1 learners will visit care settings with their tutor or have guest
speakers within college, to gain an understanding of the skills and professional
behaviours required when working in the care industry. The average salary you
could expect to earn working in the Health and Social Care sector is from the
minimum wage for a care assistant up to £30,000 for a setting manager.
Level 2 learners will have placement experience in either care homes, charity
organisations or day care settings, when tutors consider that learners are
placement ready and can work professionally.
