This course prepares you to work within the health and social care sector.
This is hopefully a seamless path onto the Foundation Degree in Health and
Well-being at Wakefield College. You will develop a range of skills and
knowledge which you will put into practice during your mandatory placement
day.
You will be involved in a variety of activities including workbooks, poster
work, lectures, visiting speakers, tutor presentations, groupwork and research
and practical activities.
Level 3 students must also be prepared to undertake work placements in a care
setting to meet a minimum college requirement of 75 hours. This is mandatory
which means you must pass your placement in order to pass the Level 3 health and
social care qualification. Without completing these hours, you will not pass the
course.
