Course Overview This programme is for young adults who will require a high level of support to access employment. Preparation for Work is a skills development programme that includes a substantive amount of work placement with one or more local employers. The programme is delivered both in college and in a workplace setting and you will be trained to complete a range of tasks which will improve your skill set and work experience. You will be fully supported by a Job Coach who will help you set and achieve your own personal targets that will improve your independence, employability skills and confidence.
What you will Study You will receive on-the-job training including induction, health & safety awareness, conduct at work and how to meet work expectations. You will also continue to develop your English, Maths and Digital skills.
How you will be Assessed Your Tutor/Job Coach/employer will continually assess your performance and give regular feedback.
Entry Requirements

No formal qualifications are required but you must be motivated and have an aspiration to work or go on to an Apprenticeship. 

You must be 18 - 24 years old and require learning support.

Further Study Apprenticeship or further training programme.
