Course Overview
This introduction to the subject will also appeal to those wishing to embark on a professional career in accountancy. This course (which is particularly aimed at adult learners) will also benefit those who are working in a role requiring accountancy and book-keeping skills. Lessons will be taught using a blended approach.
What you will Study
This qualification consists of three units each with an assessment. It
provides a more in-depth understanding of double-entry bookkeeping as well as
additional units in spreadsheets software and professional ethics.

How you will be Assessed
Practical tasks are carried out under exam conditions. Tasks are set by The Association of Accounting Technicians and exam papers are assessed, marked and graded electronically. Exams will take place during the day.
Entry Requirements
GCSE Grade 9-4 in English and Maths or Level 2 Functional Skills.
Where the applicant does not meet the course entry requirements - Level 2 or
GCSE qualification at Grade 9-4 in English and/or Maths, entry will be
considered on previous achievements and experience.
Attendance Expectations
You will be required to attend taught sessions on Thursdays 9:00am-4:30pm
(September to December)
An evening session will also run from September to December, Tuesdays and
Thursdays 6:00pm-9:00pm.
Further Study
