Course Overview This qualification is suitable for those who are either working or wishing to work in the housing sector, specifically for a housing association or social landlord. It is designed for learners who want to improve their knowledge of the functions of housing associations and ways in which tenants can be supported.
What you will Study

This qualification aims to focus on the study of the social housing sector and provide knowledge for those seeking employment in, or recently employed in the social housing secto.

The objectives of this qualification are to support the learner to, gain an understanding of the social housing sector, understand the principles of customer service in the social housing sector and understand how to identify, record and report potential issues experienced by tenants.

Unit 01 Introduction to the Social Housing Sector
This unit will start with an introduction to the housing sector and specific customer service requirements within this sector. Also, you will gain an introduction to generic referral groups that are available to tenants and the methods of accessing them.

Unit 02 Understand the Principles of Safeguarding and Equality and Diversity
In this unit you will gain an understanding of the principles of safeguarding and equality and diversity including the legislation surrounding them.

Unit 03 Understand Mental and Physical Ill-Health
This unit will provide you with information regarding prevalent mental and physical health issues that tenants may experience, and the knowledge of how to correctly record and report these issues.

Unit 04 Understand Reasons for Problematic Behaviour
This unit will provide information regarding potentially challenging behaviour in the community, and the knowledge of how to correctly record and report these issues.

Unit 05 Understand issues Affecting Isolated Tenants
In this final unit you will gain an understanding of the possible issues which could affect isolated tenants and provide the knowledge of how to correctly record and report these issues.

How you will Learn The course is delivered via distance learning, supported by a range of interactive online resources.
How you will be Assessed Work is assessed by the tutor throughout the programme from induction to completion.
Entry Requirements There are no specific entry requirements. This qualification is suitable for learners aged 16 and above.
